Boot Fitting
Here at Colorado Freeride we strive to maintain the same level of boot fitting that we were known for (for 20 years) when our name was A Racers Edge. All of our boot fitters are graduates of the Masterfit University Masters Course. This enables us to help you choose a boot that is right for you.
One important issue is finding the proper flex (beginners don’t always need a softer boot and experts don’t necessarily benefit from a stiff one). Another common problem is pressure points on your foot, weather it be a big toe, a sixth toe, or whatever other knobs you have on those feet, we’ve got a stretch or punch that can improve the comfort of your boot.
We modify around 75% of the boots we sell in one way or another, weather it’s a custom footbed, a full on blowout of the toe box or an Intuition Liner (100% moldable EVA foam) we’ve always got a way to make your boot more comfortable. We also offer a guaranteed fit on all boots purchased with a footbed; this means we will do whatever necessary to make the boot feel good, with no additional charges in labor to you.
We can also help you with boots you have purchased somewhere else, the problem we most often see is people being sold a boot that felt good in the store, but once they have broken in the liner the boot is just to big. There is no great fix for a problem like this, but we can always at least make the boot tighter by adding material to the liner or the inner shell.
